Week five. October 2014.

Wow. Can I even get close to matching that super-saturated green?

As I was painting, an '80's era Ford pick-up slowed to a stop in front of me. The driver, an old man in faded green Dickie's work clothes, reached across the passenger seat and cranked the window down by hand. A rifle with a scope leaned upright against the bench seat. He was curious to see my painting so I showed him and we chatted a bit. He told me how pleased he was to see a bald eagle perched in the dying tree behind the barn last week. After he drove off I painted it in.
