Week one. May 2014.
The scene was so filled with color, complexity and movement that I had to stick with the basics: what are the relationships of the shape's sizes, colors and values?
Dizzy Dragons, 10x8, oil on gessoed paper, $250 framed.

I had so much fun painting the carnival rides, but it was nerve-wracking too... the darn things didn't stay still! I'd get a couple of paint strokes on then wait for them to roll back around to about the same position, swipe at it again and hope for the best. It felt like I was running a marathon in 20 yard sprints!
